We had a great July 4th weekend. I had Friday off, love a 3 day weekend. Darrian and I went to meet with some friends at the park on Friday. It was nice to see everyone. I have to say some parks give me heart attacks because they have the pool you can slide down, and to a 21 month old it is just a shortcut to where you really want to go, minus the 4-5 ft. drop. geesh. D went near it once, but did not attempt it which was good. It was a fun play date and we loved being able to see everyone.Saturday D and I got up early, and went to the Parade. Keith did not want to go, nor did Grandma. It turned out to be a really fun mother and son date. We picked up lunch after and had a picnic at the park, and then played. This park has a cool race track for cars and we spent a lot of time racing his cars. It was such a great morning, he is one of my favorite people to hang out with. We went back and he took a nap while Keith and I hung out and got dinner going. We bbq'd later that night, and then Keith and I took Darrian to see fireworks. He sort of got it, and let out a few "wow's" which are always fun.

Fun weekend! I'd say so sad that it's over, but you're going on vacay in a few days so not so sad for you. Isn't it great having this fabulous little person to hang out with?
