Darrian turns 3 !!

Wow. When did my little bitty baby get to be such a big boy!?! We were there for every moment and I still don't know how it went so fast. I always celebrate Darrian's special day. I want him to know that his birth, him joining our family is a very special day for all of us. It is the most important day of my life.

On Darrian's actual birthday I took the day off, and he had school. They had a little birthday for him. He got to wear a special crown and bring treats in for the class. Then after school we picked up lunch to have at home, and relaxed. We cooked his favorite meal for dinner, he had cupcakes, and opened presents. He loved every minute of it. He kept saying Happy Birthday to Keith and I even though it was not our birthday's.

On Sunday the 19th we had a birthday party for him at the house. Same mold as last year, friends, bounce house, pizza, and cake. I wanted it to be pretty simple. I went with a train theme since he LOVES his trains (and cars). Darrian had a great time. He was bit wound up but overall did pretty good with all the activity going on. I visited with people at the party and did not get as many pictures as I would have liked. Ah well. Next time I guess.

Labor Day weekend..

This weekend we had a great time. We didn't do anything too overly exciting, swam, picnics.. but we were out and about and the weather was really nice. I have to upload pictures from Monday, but in the meantime here are pictures from Sunday. We went with Auntie Devyn to Tilden park, to ride the steam trains and then to have a picnic. It is so pretty up there, and for $2.00 you get to take a little train ride and D always loves it. He always says he doesn't want to,but then ends up loving it. I was so happy Devyn joined us. Keith and I were talking the next day, and I was saying I don't have a very big family and always wanted one. I am so thankful for friends like Devyn who are family for me, and who take an active role in Darrian's life. He knows her, he includes her in our nightly prayers without being prompted. We have known each other since we were 14, my how we have changed since that ceramic class in high school. I am so thankful for her, and that she lets Darrian call her Auntie :)
On the steam train..

he was on the lookout for tunnels.

We went to the grass to play ball, have to admit we didn't play much. D loves to run, and was really wanting to run up this big hill. I was hot, he was tired. So we didn't stay too long. He did sleep for 3 hours when we got home though :)

Some pictures of D and Auntie Devyn

I hope he loves sports because I think he would look really cute in a baseball uniform, or football, or basketball orrr.... :)

Some Twin pictures from last ultrasound

(faces of Baby B and Baby A side by side)

Made it to the 24 week mark, phew. For those who don't know 24 weeks is when a pregnancy becomes viable. Not that it means everything, but it is a sigh of relief a little bit. I wanted to post pictures from our Ultrasound on 8/27/10 of the twins, they were 22 weeks and 5 days.
