How we spent our summer ..

We spent our summer swimming. At our local pool, at the city pool, parks with spray ground, and at Contra Loma in Antioch. 

A lot happens in 3 months

Time goes so quickly. Quicker than I ever imagined it would. Everyone tells you when you have kids that time really takes off, you really can't wrap your head around how much it does till it happens. 

Darrian "graduated" kindergarten, and this week started first grade. All day class, the whole campus for him to get used to. He's doing great so far though. Just 2 weeks till he turns 6 year old. More than 1/2 way to 10, that just boggles my mind. 

Quincy and Miles are quickly rolling towards 3! My twins are almost 3!! How did this happen ?! They are a lot of fun, and seeing Darrian with them melts my heart. They have very different taste and likes. They also adore each other too. They know they are partners in crime last night Miles had a diaper rash and I decided to give him a warm bath. He was in some pain and Quincy was so concerned. Walking with him, rubbing his back. It's really sweet to see so much compassion between 2 year olds. After Miles got out of the bath he said so sweetly "thank you incee". I get to live these moments a million times a day and I am so thankful for that. 

We have swam all summer long, all the boys love the water. Darrian still swims really good, actually this year he mastered diving an swimming in the 8 ft. side. The twins with their life vest are independent and all over the pool. 

Our niece Chloe and Keith's sister have been visiting for the summer. They leave next week. It's been fun seeing the kids together.

The end of summer

The past month has been hectic. I feel like I've been on a roller coaster ride.. Up and down. The boys are growing, and we are enjoying a lazy summer filled with fun adventures, day camp, and lots of swimming. Keith turned 39, and we celebrated in small fashion. Next year will be a big one. My Mom had a health scare, and it really was scary. Thankfully she's ok, and I am thankful for the overwhelming offers of support we got from friends. She celebrated a birthday. Although it was not a big celebration it was big in the sense we knew what we had to be thankful for. Keith's older sister has also been ill and had a stay in the hospital. Modern medicine is a blessing though and hopefully she will be ok. We had to put off a trip of Keith's family coming to visit, instead they will be here at the end of the month. Keith is excited to see them.

We are gearing up for Darrian to start Kindergarten. Less than a week away., a lot of change for our routine and that has me feeling anxious. I'm not sure how I have a almost 5 year old. I'm proud of him, and hope he loves school.

Sunday morning boys

My list is so big this week, I am trying to not let it stress me out. Devyn's shower is Saturday, and I have a ton to do. Luckily her sister-in-law is going to help, and my Mom also offered to help me out. Once it's here I will be excited, just about getting there. I am taking Thursday and Friday off to prepare.

Saturday Auntie Niki took Darrian to see Brave. He liked it once it got to the action scenes.

Sunday I cleaned and organized the garage. The highlight of my day though was watching all three boys play with the bucket of cars, and soaking up their pure boyish selfs. I love being a mama to boys.

One of our favorite places

We spend a lot of time at the airport. It has a fenced in play area for kids, to ride their bike, draw with chalk, have lunch all while watching the planes come and go. Since it is fenced in I like going there with all three kids, and the boys love it. We met friends there this weekend, and enjoyed out time.
